This beloved Southern classic is more than just a spread; Pimento Cheese is a symbol of gatherings, picnics, and family celebrations. Imagine a creamy blend of sharp cheddar cheese, softened cream cheese, and the vibrant kick of diced pimientos, coming together to create a velvety symphony of flavors. Pimiento cheese is not just a dish; it’s a culinary hug, a taste of home that instantly transports you to the porch on a warm summer evening or a cozy kitchen filled with laughter.
Ingredients
- 16 oz of mild cheddar cheese
- 1/3 cup mayo (Hellman’s, Dukes)
- Dash of tabasco sauce
- 2 oz jar pimentos
- 8oz block of Philadelphia Cream Cheese
- 1 tsp prepared mustard
- 1 tsp W’ham Seasoning – Original Mild
Instructions
Grate the cheddar cheese into a bowl. While you can use pre-grated cheese many have fillers and to achieve a creamier texture we like to grate our own.
Drain and chopped the pimentos (reserving liquid)
Blend together and chill. If you want a smoother spread you can add reserved pimento liquid until desired texture is achieved.
Whether slathered on freshly baked biscuits, nestled between layers of a classic sandwich, or served alongside crisp celery sticks, this Southern delicacy embodies the spirit of hospitality that defines the South. Let the soulful charm of Pimento Cheese bring a touch of Southern comfort to your table.
